What matters in this role

  • The Anerkennung of your qualification. For anyone trained outside Germany this is the first thing checked, and the line most often missing.
  • Fachweiterbildungen, dated. Intensivpflege, Anästhesie, Praxisanleitung and Palliativpflege each change which rota you can be put on.
  • The type and size of the unit — “18 Beatmungsplätze, interdisziplinär” tells a Pflegedienstleitung more than a paragraph of duties.
  • Shift availability and whether you hold a driving licence, if the role is in ambulante Pflege.

Common mistakes

  • Years without months. On a Lebenslauf that reads as if a gap is being covered.
  • Listing the job description of a Pflegefachkraft instead of what this post actually involved.
  • Leaving out the Pflichtfortbildungen, which a large employer has to document anyway.
  • No signature and no date at the end. It is a formality, and its absence is noticed.
