Terms of Service

Last updated September 13, 2026

These terms govern your use of Resunio. Using the site means accepting them. They are short because the service is simple: it is a tool that runs in your browser, it is free, and it asks nothing of you.

What the service is

Resunio lets you write a CV and a cover letter, choose a template for them, and download them as a PDF, a Word file or a backup file. Everything runs in your browser and is stored on your device. There is no account, no subscription and no payment: the builder, every template, and every export are free, and no export carries a watermark. Reading and reference material — guides, examples, country pages — is published alongside the tool.

Your content, and your responsibility for it

What you write is yours. We claim no rights over it, and we could not use it in any case: it never reaches us. You are responsible for what your CV says — that it is accurate, that it is about you, and that you are entitled to use any photograph you add. A CV that misstates your qualifications is your problem with an employer, not ours.

Because your documents live only on your device, keeping them is up to you. Clearing your browser data, switching device or losing the machine loses the CV, and we hold nothing to restore from. The backup file exists for exactly this reason.

What we do not promise

A tidy CV is not a job. We do not promise interviews, offers or employment of any kind, and nothing here is career, recruitment, immigration or legal advice. Guidance on the site describes conventions we believe to be common in a given market; conventions differ between employers and change over time, and the decision about what to put on your own CV is yours.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service to impersonate someone else or to produce documents you know to be false.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or use automated means to overload it.
  • Do not scrape or republish the written material — the guides, examples and country pages — as your own.
  • Do not remove or obscure attribution where the site provides it.

Templates, and what belongs to us

The documents you produce with the templates are yours to use for any purpose, including commercially, without attribution and without asking. The templates themselves, the software, the written material and the Resunio name and mark remain ours. Using a template to make your own CV is exactly what it is for; redistributing the template set as a product of your own is not.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as it is. We may change it, add to it or take parts of it away, and we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of defects. Because it is free and holds none of your data, we cannot sensibly promise more than that.

Our liability is limited to what the law allows us to limit. Liability for death or personal injury, for intent and for gross negligence is not excluded and cannot be. Beyond that, and to the extent permitted, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost opportunities, or for data you lose from your own device.

Governing law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by Swiss law. If a dispute has to go to court, the ordinary forum is the operator's domicile in Aadorf, Thurgau; that is not an exclusive choice of court, and it takes away no court that mandatory law puts at your disposal — in particular the courts where you live, if you are a consumer. If these terms change, the date below changes; continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new version. For anything about these terms, use the address on the imprint.
